What We Do

Our innovation ecosystem collaboration increases your access to funding, financing and other resources from organizations across northeastern Ontario and the province. After completing our client questionnaire we’ll meet with you to learn more about your idea or business, discuss your plans and goals in detail, and assess your options. Link North staff will support you throughout your business development, which includes assisting with funding applications and facilitating meetings with our ecosystem partners.

Link North supports innovative entrepreneurs and Small-Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) across far northeast Ontario:

  • Timmins and area
  • Highway 11 corridor from Hearst to Earlton, including Kirkland Lake
  • Gogama, Foleyet, and Chapleau
  • Indigenous communities along the James Bay Coast, including Attawapiskat, Kashechewan, Fort Albany, Moosonee, and Moose Factory

Link North’s seamless integration with the Timmins Economic Development Corporation and The Business Enterprise Centre is advantageous for both entrepreneurs and businesses.  Collectively, our “one-stop shop” model supports clients during all stages of business development, from ideation through to commercialization, growth and expansion.

Jasmine is our Business Advisor here at Link North, offering a personalized experience for any entrepreneur that partners with us. She will not only be your first point of contact, she will also work with you during any stage of your business journey. Jasmine has experience working with global businesses and understands that each business has a different course to success.

Bringing 5 years of experience in marketing and E-commerce business development, Jasmine successfully helped entrepreneurs set new business strategies and marketing strategies that align with current trends. Jasmine is eager to further develop client relationships as she is also an entrepreneur herself – running an online curated vintage store Classic and Kitsch with her mother/business partner. 

Jasmine has a diploma in Graphic Design and Advertising from Humber College [Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning].

Ross oversees the development of Link North and he works closely with staff and our Bank of Consultants on developing and delivering its programs and services. When you become a Link North client you will work with Ross on your project and business development. 

Ross is well-connected with innovation ecosystem partners and has vast and proven experience with assisting entrepreneurs and businesses with applied research, commercialization, scale-up, and expansion projects. In addition to fostering Link North’s programs and services, Ross develops and manages various Timmins Economic Development Corporation projects including Mining Supply and Services and the Industrial Technology Benefits program for Defense Procurement.

Ross recently obtained his Business Accounting diploma through Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is a certified Economic Development Professional (EcD) through the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC).
